Business Visits
While we explored these countries, we visited multiple businesses to learn the ins and outs of their companies. They emphasized their marketing strategies and compared them to how we do things in The States.

Aganlar Shipyard
This a very popular shipyard, Aganlar, that we visited in Bodrum, Turkey. It is known as for being a luxury yacht design company, who is noted for it wooden manufacturing. We met Erdem Agan, the son of the original owner (Erol Agan). He walked us around the marina and where they build the ships. Agan dove into the process of how they construct these yachts, they encourage the idea of customizing it for each individual based on their wants/needs. Not only does it build these beautiful ships it serves as a major employer in Turkey.

Kilic Fish Company was the business we visited and learned all about the fish farm industry. First, we took a boat to the fish farms in the middle of the ocean where cages were created to hold Sea Bass and Sea Bream. Then we went to the factories where we saw how the processing and packaging is handled. Lastly, we went their original store connected to the factories and ate lunch there, which was delicious!

Another place we visited was the Maxx Royal Hotel in Bodrum. It is known for its luxury and expensive lifestyle. Our cohort was split up into groups and driven around the grounds and to each individual restaurant. The level of hospitality that the employees/crew gave to us was indescribable. It was like getting greeted with a warm hug.
